Texas Bar Exam: 33 Days and Counting and other randomness (and some crafts!)

Hello friends.  I somehow managed to crawl out from under the Barbri books and while waiting for my next round of caffeine to kick in, I figured I'd say hi.

Bar prep is hard.

It is seriously the most exhausting thing I've ever done.  Sometime I just gaze ahead at the seemingly endless amounts of material left to cover and then memorize and I doubt whether I'll ever get there.  But at the same time the summer is flying by at warp speed and that pesky little test known as the Texas Bar Exam is approaching at an alarmingly quick pace.

Can you wish upon a fortune cookie saying?

My dreams these days consist of me reciting elements in my heads and paralyzing fears of failing.

And then I received this little ditty in the mail.  Two thoughts raced through my head simultaneously "guessI'mofficiallyapproved and crapcrapcrapcrap."

It hasn't all been bad.  (Yes, it has.  I'm just trying to look on the bright side.)  I took one night off to check out this new place in Dallas called Mutts.  It's a restaurant/bar AND a dog park.  Yogi got to run around for 3 hours and I got to enjoy some fresh air.  It was glorious.

And lastly, I spent a couple hours whipping up some gifts for my college's roommate new baby boy.  Their family is very much into baseball so I thought baseball themed shoes were completely appropriate.  I wrote the saying using my newest favorite nib.  I've been doodling the saying for several months.  I think it turned out pretty cute, although I'll probably make some changes the next time around.

And that's about it.  I hope everyone else is having a glorious summer of pool time, outdoor activities, and more fun than you can shake a stick at!  I have a lake break coming up for the 4th and I can hardly wait.

Ohhh I totally feel your pain. You'll get through it all, it just takes time. Like every day all summer types of time, but then it'll be over and hopefully you'll never have to do it again. Good luck!

Found your blog via Legally Lovely. Just wanted to say I feel your pain. I took (and passed) the Texas Bar in 2005 and I still remember how difficult the studying was. Hang in there and good luck!!

Thank you both so much! I am in the home stretch (15 days) and trying not to think about how much I have left to do!
